Hair Loss problems and herbal remedies:

Hair loss or baldness is one of the most important things to be concerned by both adults and teens of both sexes. This hair loss maybe temporary or permanent but in few cases, it also acts as a sign or symptom that indicates the other diseases. The problem of hair loss in the people in their teenage years can mostly mean a sickness or improper hair care methods like rough brushing, excess usage of hair dyes and wearing tight hairstyles such as braids.


Reasons for hair loss:

A large amount of hair fall can be observed after undergoing any surgery or major illness.
Mental stress and depression are the basic causes for hair loss. Extreme stress levels not only results in the loss of hair but also is the root cause for other various diseases such as blood pressure, cardiovascular problems like strokes, heart attacks etc. But if relieved from the stress, then hair fall will also get reduced.

Hormonal discrepancies such as increase in the estrogen levels due to too much stress, usage of birth control pills, imbalance in estrogens and androgens, conditions like hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism, changes in hormones post child birth, hormone replacement therapies and other medications cause hair loss.

Symptoms:

  • Tapering or shedding of hair in clumps.
  • Androgenic alopecia or inborn hair loss where men experience a receding hairline on the front and brow and on the scalp.
  • Gradual tapering all over the scalp in females.

Remedies at home:

  • Amla oil is one of the oldest natural hair conditioners in the world. Boiling a dry bit of amla in coconut oil and its application on the scalp, works wonders.
  • Combination of lime juice and fresh amla juice as a shampoo, promotes hair growth.
  • Daily consumption of a cup of spinach juice and lettuce stops hair fall.
  • Application of coconut oil mixed with lime juice/water avoids hair loss.
  • Juice of coriander leaves on the scalp is also of assistance. //BS//
